HOT HOT HEAT FORCED TO CANCEL SHOW IN PORTLAND, OR
Dear people of Portland, Steve has come down with a severe case of Acute Laryngitis and Hot Hot Heat has been forced to cancel their performance at the Roseland Theatre tonight Wednesday, February 6, in Portland, OR. The band apologizes for any inconvenience this may cause and sincerely hope to make it up to all of their loyal Portland fans in the near future. The Editors and Louis XIV will perform as scheduled.

So, so, so, so cold yesterday!
Waiting for 2 months with my tickets in hand; waiting the whole day listening to Happiness; waiting for the babysitter; waiting for the end of Louis the XIV's act; only to find out that my favourite band since I discovered David Bowie when I was 18 would not be playing!
I am French so my first instinct was to be scandalized and feel I had been shafted! Then I went to talk to the manager to make sure the singer was indeed sick, and then, and only then did I start to feel bad (and only a little...) for the damaged Larynx that has brought me happiness.
I cannot drive to San Francisco, although my 6 and 8 year olds would love the adventure... my husband less... and all I hope for is that this great band continues producing great albums so that I finally have the pleasure to hear them live!

Ahhh I went to the show just for Hot Hot Heat and was so sad after walking blocks in the pouring rain with only a t-shirt to see that HHH was cancelled! I didn't even stay for the show!!! Sooooo sad... Please come back to Portland soon! This would have been my third time seeing you guys!!!

Steve, sad to hear. I've always wondered what happened with a band when someone got sick on tour.
But what about Friday in San Francisco? HHH is the reason why I'm ready to drive 100 miles to San Francisco to see the show.
Fingers are crossed. The Warfield is a pretty good venue. Saw Joel Plaskett and The Tragically Hip there late last year.
